Did you know that certain items in your pantry can actually provide unique beauty benefits? Below are some of our absolute favourites and why you should consider adding them to your beauty routine.

Wildflower Honey
Soothing and a natural humectant, honey can be used as a facial mask to calm distressed skin, lock in moisture and brighten your complexion. Simply spread 3 teaspoons of honey directly onto the skin and let sit for 20 minutes. Also a known antibacterial agent, honey is beneficial for acne-prone skin and can be used as a daily cleanser. Just rinse with warm water.

Jasmine Green Tea
Our Jasmine Green Tea combines the beautiful and calming aroma of jasmine flowers with the potent qualities of green tea. Pan-fired leaves are left overnight with freshly-picked night-blooming jasmine blossoms to infuse the tea with their flavour and aroma. Green tea is packed with antioxidants, which protect skin from the damaging effects of free radicals and promote more youthful looking skin. In addition to sipping tea for its skin-improving benefits, you can also use Jasmine Green Tea topically as an anti-inflammatory treatment. To prepare, steep a sachet of tea in of a cup of water, let it cool in the refrigerator and apply to the skin with a cotton ball. You’ll enjoy the gorgeous scent of the jasmine!

Extra Virgin Olive Oil
While extra virgin olive oil is better known as a culinary ingredient, its high levels of mono-unsaturated fatty acids and vitamins E and A make it an excellent natural hair conditioner. Because olive oil has the exceptional ability to penetrate the hair shaft, it will leave your hair nourished and moisturised. Try using some extra virgin olive oil as a pre-shower moisturising treatment by applying 3-4 tbsp to dry, unwashed hair and wrapping in plastic for 15 minutes. Follow with a rinse and condition, and enjoy softer, healthier hair!

Coffee

Coffee Grounds
Coffee will not only keep you buzzing, but will also awaken a tired complexion. Create an exfoliating and rejuvenating mask by mixing 45 g coffee grounds with 3 tablespoons of yogurt and 1 tablespoon of honey. The caffeine in the coffee grounds will reduce inflammation and redness, while the honey and yogurt will add moisture to your skin.
